VERMONT

FARM

LIFE.

Our home in Vermont was a working blend of art, food, and animals. A house attached to our studio, surrounded by the rhythms of a small farm we built with our own hands.

We rescued and cared for a rotating menagerie: cows, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, roosters, turkeys, turtles, cats, and dogs, each one part of the daily life of the place, not just passing through it.

We grew much of our own food, and one year took that further than we expected, growing 8,000 heads of garlic across 24 varieties, which we sold at City Market in Burlington.

Food was also how we connected with our town. We catered homemade vegetarian and vegan lunches for our neighbors in Vergennes — pitas, sauces, pupusas, and tortillas made from scratch, along with our own nut milks, tofu, and bread, all made by hand in our kitchen.

Art, food, and animals, that was Vermont life for us.
